Hello hello, can you hear me?
A Yearning Desire
What is it that makes a romantic relationship different from a platonic friendship? Everyone has this idealised vision of what romance should be like but no one is actually able to put it in words. When they say it is meant to be felt and is not something that should be or can be explicated (like an orgasm), are they speaking the truth or is it denial? It is perhaps interesting to note, that in Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, a 2 or 3 hundred-page novel about love, marriage, and romance, the word “kiss”, was only mentioned once.
Word of the Week #17: Romance (Valentine’s Day Special)

Oh yes I do.
I feel really weird tonight.
Favorite Style of the Week #3 - The Cigarette
It starts off with excitement that slowly transforms itself into fear and if you’re unlucky, that fear persists and mutates into an impending doom that becomes reality.
But what is important here is that even when the future is unsure, what we can be sure is that we tried. The path to the end is going to be scary but we can always make the journey towards it a hell lot of fun.
set the world on Fire
German word which means “lightning war”, an offensive warfare tactic that consists of quick, short battles. It relies on surprises and stuns and is premised on the fact that human beings take time to react. For it to work, then, one has to creatively and quick-wittedly re-invent - attack in an offbeat way or at a freak time so that people know not how to respond.
While, like the name suggests, that victory is short-lived, it is glorious no less. Everyone dies, but never die without setting heaven and hell ablaze.
Word of the Week #16: Blitzkrieg
Spring has barely blossomed and the brilliant frost of winter fashion shows are already forming its way everywhere.
Well, before we get a little too ahead of ourselves, let’s indulge in a little comfort of the breezy summer days to come.
Prada has always made the lip motif their own and this time, oh my GAWD, this time… WHAT IS THIS?! I am speechless.
The sexy lips with a cigarette. Mind you, it is a lit cigarette with smoke whispering at its tip like a ghost. I know the in thing nowadays is not to condone this act of smoking but THISSSSSSS! It’s one for the smokers out there.
So let us celebrate and rejoice that while we smoke our lives away, we’ll never be out of style with a motif that will be equally desired by the non *cough*posers* smokers out there.
Favorite Style of the Week #2 - PRADA S/S 2012
How do two strangers transform into this insane inseparable link of chaos that only they, themselves, can understand?
BFFs
Affinity is:
When there is one tap and two sinks next to each other. When all your life, you refused to use the dishwasher even though you had one as you enjoyed the feeling of running water and found the scrubbing and the squeaking of dishes therapeutic. When, this time, there’s someone next to you, doing dishes with you, twisting the tap to this sink, pushing the tap to that sink, then pulling it back again, even though you thought you were the only one who liked washing dishes. When both of you, in comforting silence, indulge in dishwashing and each other’s company while listening to the same imaginary song in your heads.
Word of the Week #15: Affinity
Raquel Zimmermann in Prada by Steven Meisel for Vogue Italia, November 2011.
When I first saw this monstrosity, I wasn’t sure how to feel but to stare in awe.
Now that the season has passed and with the new blossoms of Spring starting to sprout in stores, I can only look back with a tinge of regret.
But not to fret, there is still hope for that in seasons to come, something even more awesome shall show itself.
